People often assume that achieving goals will bring them happiness and joy. Limitations and challenges are often seen as obstacles to happiness. People tend to look at their limitations and see gray skies; however, behind every gray sky is an infinite amount of sunshine.
Wherever you are in life, you have to find a way to be happy. There have been periods of my life when I was not happy, and I blamed my lack of happiness on everything my body could not do. I assumed that if I was not disabled, I could do everything and live happily ever after.
No matter how great your life is, there’s always something to complain about. We can complain about traffic, the weather, not being able to be as strong as we would like, skin blemishes, hang nails, slow internet, kids being kids, and anything that’s wrong in life.
We all face challenges and part of our narrative is the way we look at the opportunities and blessings in our life.
