You Get What You Give

Let’s face it. This is one of the most challenging times and one of the most unique times that many of us have faced. We are dealing with a once in a century pandemic and the ramifications of it. We are on a doorstep of a consequential election. We are also dealing with racial questions. These are just some of the consequential issues that are before us.

My first book was about loving your life. My second book was about how people need to sacrifice for their dreams. For the past couple of years, I have been writing about how to develop an amazing mindset. In all three, one of the through lines is what you put into your life is what you get out of your life.

From a young age, my parents instilled this narrative that what you put into your life is what you get out of it. They never let me act like a victim. They always brought joy, laughter, and love to every situation. Bottom line is they are loving and helping people.

If we are going to move forward, we have to put more love and more respect towards each other. It feels like some are only out for themselves. We reach a point where it’s not about what’s best for people. We reach a point where it’s just a game.

Another key concept that I often talk about and is evident throughout my work is the idea that we all need to love and respect each other. Nobody is perfect. Everybody has a unique mindset that has flaws. One of the ways that you can improve your life is to improve the lives of others and hope, but not expect that they will do the same. We lost a little of that ability. It’s still there, we see it every day. However, we just need to see it on a grand scale. We also need to get out of our own tribes and just listen to others.

“What the world needs now is love sweet love,”by Jackie DeShannon was written in the ‘60s.  Those words are as relevant today as they were when they were written. If we want to improve our lives, we have to start giving and stop taking. We also have to listen and respect each other.

If you are doing this, we can bring joy and happiness to our lives.

Summary:

In order to get the most out of life, we have to give what we expect to get back from it. This is the best way to reach amazing success and achieve our goals.
