It’s Been A Journey

One year ago, I was decorating the baby room, watching my baby grow in his mom’s stomach and thinking about my next step regarding my career. I was having casual conversations with consultants and editing my autobiography. I was eager to get my message out there, market it and start speaking again. I miss this stage. I had started a book called Big Dreams Take Big Sacrifices back in 2010. Halfway through the book, I had some family events that gave me the opportunity to take a three-year sabbatical and live life. There was something about my autobiography that bothered me, though. Nobody knew me and publishing an autobiography didn’t seem right. In late May of last year, I was scheduled to go to a conference in Dallas. A day before I took off, I was at the gym and it hit me. I needed to publish Big Dreams. The last night I was at the conference, I started talking to the organizer and he asked me what I did. I said, “I’m a writer and I have a book coming out.” He asked me what the book was about, I said “dreams.” He said, “perfect.” I said to myself, “Yep, we’re doing this.” I got back into town and started editing the book. A month later, my son Andrew was born. I poured my love and my joy into the book and my new family. In my book, I candidly share the mistakes that I made. I also thought a lot about what lessons I wanted to impart to my son. After editing, re-editing, rewriting, emailing my colleagues, numerous conversations with my marketing team, it will finally launch at an event at the Sheraton in Agoura Hills on May 22nd from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please join me. I will feed you, make you laugh and make you think. This event is the launching of my new book and hopefully it will be a gateway so I can help other people achieve their dreams. Be my guest, come one and come all! You can RSVP here: www.bigdreamsbook.com I look forward to seeing you there!
