The Art of Re-Learning

I am an avid reader. I also take online classes, watch instructional videos on YouTube and attend conferences. I focus on two areas of learning. The first is personal development. Since I write, teach and coach on the area, I feel that it is my obligation to learn everything I can, as it helps me to look at different perspectives and disseminate my own information with more backing.
.
The second area is marketing. A big part of my business is the marketing of the products that are created. There are methodologies that I’ve adopted into my own quest to grow my company. These include landing pages, sales processes and many more integral parts of my business. Some are really technical. Some are tedious. And, some include many steps. I’m always researching different methodologies and making my process as efficient as possible. I work with a couple of experts who elevate my marketing beyond anything I can do on my own.
.
I have several books that I read over and over again in order to get the most out of their content. Every time I read them, I get something amazing out of them. I am constantly learning and re-learning.
.
There is an art to re-learning. When you learn something for the first time, you are not aware of the impact it can have on your life. By implementing the steps that you read about, you slowly begin to understand the impact that it will have. This is the time that you go back and re-learn. When you go back and re-learn you have a deeper understanding of what the teaching is trying to accomplish. The cycle continues. This is one of the paths to mastery.
.
Another benefit to re-learning is a reminder of what you should be doing. During any given time, our focus and our attention are on what is pressing. It may be putting out fires. It may be on our families. It may be good or bad distractions. When you practice learning and re-learning it focuses your thoughts on what is really important.
.
Most importantly, the art of re-learning is a reminder of what exactly we should and should not be doing. Books like the Millionaire Messenger, Experts’ Secrets, and Dot Com Secrets remind me of what exactly I should be focusing on. They also remind me about every single step necessary to get my business where I want it to go. Books like The Power of Habit and The Happiness Advantage remind me of the steps I need to take to develop myself as a human.
.
It is also more important to implement the steps that lead to amazing success. Earlier in my life, I used to read books over and over again and I did nothing with the information. I witness people attend conferences and never take any action. Learning without action is not going to get you to your amazing success.
