You're Addicted to Your Phone and Don't Even Know It (Wake Up Call)

The unexpected advantage of not being able to use my phone like everyone else.

Living with severe cerebral palsy means I have limited control over my iPhone. While I sometimes wish I could scroll endlessly like everyone else, I've discovered something powerful:

Boredom became my teacher.

When everyone else fills 5 seconds of silence with their phone, I: • Think deeper • Observe actual humans • Stay present in the moment • Connect face-to-face

We've created a generation that can't sit quietly. We fill every moment with digital noise, making us more anxious and disconnected.

Technology should enhance our lives, not become a wall between us and everything that matters—other people, our goals, and even ourselves.

My challenge to you: Put the phone down. Embrace the boredom. Connect with your aspirations. Go create something.

Sometimes our perceived limitations become our greatest strengths.
