Do You Know the #1 Goal?

Uncategorized Aug 14, 2020

Let’s face it, 2020 has been one of the most challenging years. No matter who you are, your life has been altered. At the very least, you had to change part of your lifestyle. In the middle of the spectrum, you dealt with professional challenges. At the end of the spectrum, you may have lost a loved one.

One type of challenge that we face is a setback. Setbacks are just a part of life. You can do everything correctly and some setback can rear its ugly head. When my parents found out that I was going to have cerebral palsy and a lifetime of challenges, they quickly adopted the mindset of parents that have a special needs child. My whole life, I often wondered what it would be like not to have a disability. In thinking about my life, and wanting to create an amazing life, I learned the number one goal in life.

 Here we go.

The number one goal in life is to improve our lives no matter where we are.

One issue that I see when dealing with life and moving...

The Multiple Roles That You Play

Uncategorized Aug 14, 2020

Many people expect others to acquiesce in their every desire and requirements. They expect their environment to be set up for their success or whims. If you want to create an amazing life, you have to understand your roles in different situations. The fact is that we are all in multiple systems and, in order to succeed, we have to understand our role in those systems. We have to understand the challenges that each of those systems present. We also have to understand the opportunities that we can exploit. The problem is that we have this narrative about how life should be and we have this false ideal about how everyone should act in our world. The better we understand our world, the more opportunities we have to succeed.

We are in each other’s lives to make life better for everyone.

Throughout my life, I have struggled with a physical disability and I came to the terms that this world is not set up for somebody with my challenges. With that being said, in the United...

Why Most Businesses Need to Re-Market Themselves

Uncategorized Aug 01, 2020

It often feels that our lives have been turned upside down. When this happens, people’s habits and desires need change. This change effects the way people make purchasing decisions.  Businesses cannot expect that the same messages that brought in customers will work in the short and medium term. Right now, most businesses need to engage in re-marketing. It’s similar to a couple going through a rough patch in their marriage. In order to get through that rough patch, both members have to reintroduce themselves.

As someone who deals with many challenges, I understand the importance adjusting the approach that I take. Because I need a lot of assistance with my business, I understand the power of coming into a changing situation with the understanding that I have to always be willing to move stuff around. I never had the luxury to be rigid.

The first step in this process is understanding what everyone needs right now and fitting your product or service into the new...

Be Aspirational

Uncategorized Aug 01, 2020

At some point or another, we have all had big dreams and aspirations. However, our narrative, mindset, circumstances, ego, or the people around us from prevented us pursuing those dreams.  If you want to build an amazing life, you need to have a mindset that involves always being aspirational. Even after you achieve your dreams, you need to replace the old dreams with new ones.

Oftentimes, our circumstances prevent us from being aspirational. We see our challenges as factors that get in the way of our dreams. I have struggled with this fact my entire life. There were times when my disability felt like a nuisance. There were other times when my disability felt like an anchor. I have to deal with random movements, needing help with the basics in life, and a severe speech impediment. I also have to deal with the psychological ramifications of my disability.

The reason I never stopped going after my goals is the fact that I’m always aspirational. I always had a very...

How Dealing with Challenges Pays Off

challenges Jul 17, 2020

Traditionally, we see challenges as things that get in the way of what we want. Even worse, some people lower their expectations based on the challenges that they have. They think that they can’t go after their goals because dealing with the obstacles is too much. They say that successful people have connections or abilities that they don’t have. One of the types of challenges that people have to deal with is challenges that seemingly pop out of nowhere. This year, the biggest challenge that we face generationally has popped up. We are dealing with a world-wide pandemic called the coronavirus. This has disrupted every aspect of our lives.  Unfortunately, this will kill some dreams and aspirations.

Challenges are just a part of life. There have been wars, civil unrest, and, yes, pandemics in the past. Instead of looking at challenges as something that stops you in your path, look at challenges as opportunities develop skills, habits, and new ways of going...

Respect and Emotional Discipline

Uncategorized Jul 17, 2020

We are dealing with one of the biggest challenges of modern life. Our goal right now is to eradicate the coronavirus, get back to normal, and preserve our economy. Most people have the same agenda. However, the U. S. is not doing a good job. Two of the principles of success are emotional discipline and respect. In this fight, we are lacking both. I’m going to show you how these principles apply to this fight, and to your success in general.

Although these challenges are amazing, they are nevertheless straight forward in nature.  Health professionals have come to a consensus on the way we can curb the spread. This is not a political issue. This is a health and livelihood issue. We must respect and follow the advice put out by epidemiologists and other doctors. We also should not vilify original statements that were wrong when this virus was brand new. Furthermore, other countries provide a roadmap to get this pandemic under control. It’s simple. Simple does not...

Do You Struggle with Motivation?

clarity Jul 10, 2020

In tough times, it’s often challenging to find motivation. These days, our way of life is being highjacked by the coronavirus and with political uncertainty. These problems seep into our lives like nothing before. A consequence is that many people have to change what they do professionally and how they go after their goals. When times are tough, motivation and inspiration fall by the wayside. However, motivation and inspiration need to be one of the tools that we use to get through these tough times and excel when things get back to normal.

Throughout my life, I have struggled with motivation and inspiration. There were periods of my life where all I could see was every single challenge in front of me. Over the years, I learned that if I wanted to achieve success, be happy, and be motivated, I had to look beyond my challenges and create motivation.

A mistake that I see many people make is the fact that they think that motivation and inspiration is something that...

Stop Pretending to Understand

Uncategorized Jun 26, 2020

This year has been filled with unbelievable challenges. First, was the arrival of the pandemic.  Second, was the amplification of systemic issues brought to the forefront by the death of George Floyd. Third, is the sheer limitation that the first two issues have impacted on most everyone in the world. Lastly, the everyday challenges that we have to deal with as human beings living in these times. We have to navigate these challenges if we want to improve our lives furthermore, we have to learn how to engage each other in order to build a stronger community so we all thrive.

With the explosion of the internet, social media, and information comes the ability for many voices to be heard. Although this is a positive step, there are negatives that are drawbacks.  One of the drawbacks that concerns me is the fact that if we don’t agree with any certain view, we have the option to find exactly the view that we do agree with. Many human beings don’t like to be...

Get Back on Track in 2020

Uncategorized Jun 26, 2020

Six months ago, the new decade started. You probably wanted to start off this year and this decade right. You may be a business owner or an entrepreneur who had ambitious plans for the decade, or you might be a person who decided to improve your existing business.

When I started off this year, I was in the middle of a six-month project. I was also excited about a new business venture. The pandemic put a wrench in both, and everyone is affected by the pandemic. This is a calling card for you to step up your game.

I know all about challenges. I have dealt with cerebral palsy, a speech impediment, and a body that gets in the way of life in general. I always had the ability to dream and work around my challenges. In this post I want to show you how you can get your life and business on track.

My goal is to empower you and show you how to take control of 2020.

  1. Adjust your expectations. When I look at other people without a disability, I see who I would be if I...

Mindset Drives Actions and Actions Drive Success

narrative Jun 19, 2020

Oftentimes, there is a tenuous connection between mindset and success. When people want more out of life or want to get out of a jam, the last place they look is mindset. Mindset is almost a luxury. My job is to show you how mindset drives success. I believe that mindset touches everything important in your life.

The actions that you take on a daily or hourly basis are the building blocks to your life. They are also the input that fuels your life.  The better the input, the more success you will have. Actions lead to behavior which lead to habits then to processes then to living the life that you have.

Mindset affects the actions that you take. Over the course of a day, you take dozens or even hundreds of actions. Some examples of these actions are what happens when you first open your eyes in the morning, whether you have a healthy breakfast or not, how you say good morning to your loved ones, whether you start off the day with meditation, exercise, or being...
